In 2003, Lizbeth Ryan began her training with Per Otte, using the system of acupuncture he developed called MicroAcupuncture. Since then she has continued to specialize in the treatment of vision loss due to degenerative diseases of the retina and optic nerve.  Macular degeneration, glaucoma, Retinitis Pigmentosa, diabetic retinopathy are the main eye conditions she treats.  In 2009, she opened her own practice and in 2010 she moved to Northwest Arkansas, where she continues to help people suffering from degenerative eye diseases.

Originally trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Dr. Ryan utilizes both TCM and MicroAcupuncture (micro-acupuncture, micro acupuncture), a European system developed by Per Otte that has shown to be highly effective for treating a number of diseases that affect vision, including AMD (age-related macular degeneration), Retinitis Pigmentosa, glaucoma, Stargardt’s disease, Rod/Cone Dystrophy and diabetic retinopathy, as well as a number of optic nerve diseases. This unique form of Acupuncture is an effective alternative vision treatment that has proven repeatedly to be one of the most powerful and effective options for helping patients who suffer from these conditions, evidenced by the large number of patients who have experienced positive results. Results show that over 95% of patients receive improved vision within the first week of treatment.  These results vary significantly among patients.

Using both microacupuncture and traditions Acupuncture and oriental medicine she is able to treat patients for all sorts of health conditions, both internal medicine and pain syndromes. TCM is an ancient system of healthcare that is helpful for treating disorders affecting every system of the body, including digestive disorders, eye diseases, headaches, urinary tract disfunction, circulation problems, and more.
