History

After completing her studies in oriental medicine, and having established herself in practice for three years, Lizbeth Ryan embarked on the journey that led her to specialize in the treatment of macular degeneration, glaucoma, Retinitis Pigmentosa and many other retinal diseases using the microacupuncture system of Acupuncture. In 2003, she started training with Per Otte and stayed on at his clinic as chief acupuncturist at the Arkansas Treatment Center, his Hot Springs, Arkansas clinic until December 2008. At that point she opened her own practice and has been helping people suffering from degenerative eye diseases ever since.

Originally trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine, she utilizes both TCM and microacupuncture, a European system developed by Per Otte that has shown to be highly effective for treating a number of diseases that affect vision, including AMD (age-related macular degeneration), Retinitis Pigmentosa, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. This unique form of Acupuncture is an effective alternative vision treatment that has proven repeatedly to be one of the most powerful and effective for helping patients who suffer from these insidious conditions, evidenced by the large number of patients who have experienced positive results.

Using both microacupuncture and traditions Acupuncture and oriental medicine she is able to treat patients for all sorts of health conditions, both internal medicine and pain syndromes. TCM is an ancient system of healthcare that is helpful for treating disorders affecting every system of the body, including digestive disorders, eye diseases, headaches, urinary tract disfunction, circulation problems, and more. Call our office and we will gladly speak with you about your condition.

We Can Help

Dr. Ryan was fortunate to learn this effective Acupuncture method for treating eye conditions in 2003, then learned a new treatment in 2013. She has worked continually for the last fourteen years with hundreds of visually impaired patients, first as chief acupuncturist in a clinic in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where she was trained by Per Otte and spent over six years working with patients suffering from degenerative eye disorders. During that time, she developed an understanding of the various aspects of eye diseases, their development and their treatment. She then opened her own facility where she continued to treat visually challenged patients. In 2009, she relocated her clinic to Bentonville, Arkansas. In 2013, she went on to learn a new technique, Acunova, a treatment for all eye diseases with wonderful results.

At the Arkansas Acupuncture Center patients are able to receive macular degeneration treatments, Retinitis Pigmentosa treatments, glaucoma treatments as well as treatment for a variety of degenerative eye disorders.
