Says she found treatment for macular degeneration that saved her sight
The quality of Ruth Ledbetter’s custom draperies is so well known by interior decorators that she has become legendary. But in 2002, her Joshua, Texas drapery shop became silent.
Her vision had deteriorated so badly that she could no longer thread her sewing machine needle.
She went quickly to her ophthalmologist.
Keeping your eye on the ball is easier said than done, as any golfer will tell you. This is especially true for golfers afflicted with Macular Degeneration. This disease is the degeneration of the central portion of the retina, resulting in a blurred vision and ultimately blindness.
ROGERS, Ark. -- One business right in our back yard is drawing worldwide attention, a chance for people suffering from an eye disease to see again. Right now nothing can cure macular degeneration, an eye disease that causes vision loss in the elderly. One therapy in Northwest Arkansas is trying to offer an alternative option that some patients say can bring back their vision.
