A Personalized Alternative Approach to Your Well-being.
Our patients travel from all over the world to receive these promising treatments. They stay for one or two weeks at a time, receiving from two to four treatments a day. Patients return to the clinic anywhere from three times a year to once every three years, depending on their condition and its severity. Patients receive great benefit from our center where they can not only be treated, but can also receive the support they need to gain a sense of hope that propels them towards success. Obviously locals are able to schedule treatments more flexibly, however at AAC we are dedicated to accommodating the needs of both our local, national, and international patients to the best of our ability.
For those receiving treatment for degenerative eye conditions, the treatment process usually begins on Monday morning when patients are coming from out of town. Patients who live in the area have the option to begin treatment on any day of the week. After completing paperwork, the patient is tested using visual acuity and visual field scans. This is followed by a consultation with Lizbeth Ryan. The patient receives three treatments on their first day and four on the second. A follow-up testing session and consultation is done after 6 to 8 treatments to determine how the patient is progressing.
Unlike other facilities, at the Arkansas Acupuncture Center patients are treated in groups. The main treatment facilities accommodates approximately ten people at a time. Our treatment tables allow patients to sit in a comfortable, relaxed position facilitating conversation and our supportive atmosphere during their procedures. New patients hear hopeful stories from returning patients, which is a common occurrence. The feeling of support is vital to their healing as most discussions are focused on the help they are getting. Hope has positive healing effects on the body and it motivates patients to continue working to improve their condition. We strive to provide patients with not only a myriad of treatment options, but an environment and community that supports the healing process.
